Who we are

This website is operated by Legacy Photography, a photography studio based in Robina, Gold Coast QLD 4226. The owner and photographer is Karen Teagle. You can reach us at hello@legacyphotography.com.au.

What personal information we collect

We only collect the information you choose to give us. When you submit the contact form, we collect:

• Your first and last name
• Your email address
• The session type you are interested in
• The message you write

If you become a client, we may also collect phone numbers, due dates, and other details needed to plan and deliver your session.

How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

• Reply to your enquiry
• Confirm we have received your message
• Arrange and manage your photography session
• Deliver your edited images or gallery link
• Keep a record of our communication for customer service

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Lawful basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of your consent when you submit the contact form, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and providing our photography services.

How we store and protect your data

Your enquiry is stored securely in our database through Lovable Cloud. The contact form only accepts requests from our own website, and all pages are served over HTTPS. Access to saved enquiries is limited to the studio owner.

How long we keep your information

Contact form enquiries are kept for 12 months, then deleted unless you become an active client. If you book a session, we keep relevant records for as long as needed to deliver your images and respond to any follow-up questions.

Client photos and consent

Edited client photos are stored securely for 6 months after delivery. We only ever use your images on our website, social media, or in marketing materials if we have your written consent, usually through a signed model release. You can ask us to remove your images from our marketing channels at any time.

Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted services to run this website and deliver our work:

• Lovable Cloud — hosts the website and stores contact enquiries.
• Google Ads — a conversion tag is loaded on the site to measure ad performance. It does not collect personally identifiable information through this website.
• Pixieset — used to deliver private online galleries to clients.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy and security practices.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses essential cookies needed for it to function. We also load a Google Ads conversion tag. We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other third-party analytics cookies.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Ask us to delete your information
• Withdraw consent for marketing use of your images
• Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)
